History

Originally formed by the Brethren from Independence Lodge 721;Chester’s oldest Royal Arch Chapter consecrated at the Bars Hotel, it has a diverse and active membership.

Drawn from Lodges throughout Chester and the Wirral peninsular. It’s vibrant and enthusiastic membership frequently organise convocations of great interest, which are admired and often imitated by others.

Grosvenor Chapter 721 was one of 12 founding Chapters that formed Cheshire Provincial Grand Chapter in 1869 and has since contributed to the founding of 14 other Chapters throughout Cheshire and North Wales. Grosvenor Chapter maintains some very strong traditions with variations that add great interest to its Convocations and much enjoyment at its Festive Board.
